POST-CONFERENCE TOUR
HISTORICAL ASTRONOMICAL TOUR: Millennium Trail of Astronomy in Kyoto
Kyoto is a treasure trove of precious astronomical records and there are many historical sites related to astronomy as well. A third-party organizer Kyoto Sennen Tenmongakukaido (http://www.tenmon.org/) offers a sightseeing tour to introduce to the visitors the history of astronomy in Kyoto. The tour explores the places related to historical people who are famous in the history of astronomy in Japan such as the Taishogunhachi jinja shrine.
