From Kansai International or Osaka International (Itami) Airport    From Kyoto station

  1. From Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kyoto Station
    1. Take Kansai Airport Express train "Haruka" operated by West Japan Railway Company. The station is in the airport. It runs every 30 minutes and takes about 80 minutes to Kyoto station. The reserved seat ticket costs 3170-3570 yen (variable by season), and the non-reserved seat ticket 2850 yen.
    2. Airport Limousine bus service to "Hachijo" exit of Kyoto station is available. It runs about every 20-30 minites and takes about 90 min.. The cost is 2550 yen.
    3. You can access directly to our office by Shuttle Omnibus service. Please refer to the links below for more detailed information and reservation.

  2. From Osaka International (Itami) Airport (ITM) to Kyoto Station
    1. There exists Airport Limousine bus service to "Hachijo" exit of Kyoto station at every 20 minites. The bus stop is in front of the airport exit. It takes about 50 minites and the cost is 1310 yen.
    2. You can access directly to our office by Shuttle Ominibus service. Please refer to the link below for more detailed information and reservation.

  1. From Kyoto station to our office
    1. There exist two bus routes to our office. The bus terminal is just outside of the north exit of the station. The cost is 230yen. The bus terminal is just outside of the north exit of the station. The cost is 230 yen. The bus has an English voice/character guide, but you should not expect that the driver understands English.
      1. From bus stop No."A2" of the terminal, you get on the city bus of Route No.17 for "Ginkakuji and Kinrin Shako". It runs about every 15 minites. You get off at "Kyodai Nogakubu-Mae" bus stop. It takes about 30 min.
      2. From bus stop No."D2" of the terminal, you get on the city bus of Route No.206 for "Kitaoji Bus Terminal via Higashiyama St.". It runs about every 5-10 minites. You get off at "Hyakumanben". It takes about 35 min.
    2. You can most easily come to our office by taking taxi. Taxies are always waiting for passengers just outside of the both "Main" (called "Karasuma") and "Hachijo" exits of the station. You show Kyoto Univ. Area Map to the taxi driver. It takes about 20 min and the cost is about 2,100yen. No tipping is necessary in Japan.

  1. From Shijo Kawaramachi to our office
    1. There exist two bus routes to our office. The cost is 230 yen. The bus has an English voice/character guide, but you should not expect that the driver understands English.
      1. You get on the city bus of Route No.17 for "Ginkakuji and Kinrin Shako". You get off at "Kyodai Nogakubu-Mae" bus stop. It takes about 17 min.
      2. You get on the city bus of Route No.201 for "Hyakumanben via Gion" or Route No.31 for "Iwakura" or Route No.3 for "Kitashirakawa Shibuse-Cho" or "Kamihate-Cho, Kyoto-Zoke-Geijutu-Dai-Mae". You get off at "Hyakumanben" bus stop. It takes about 20 min.
    2. You can most easily come to our office by taking taxi. It takes about 10 min and the cost is about 1,200yen. No tipping is necessary in Japan.

    You walk from "Kyodai Nougakubu-Mae" bus stop about 2 min., and from "Hyakumanben" bus stop eastward about 7 min. to our office, respectively.
    Our office is located on the 5-th floor of Faculty of Science Building No.1 in North Campus of Kyoto University.
