Notes on the use of Quick-Look AE indices
The Quick-Look (Real-time) AE indices have been derived in quasi-real
time mainly for monitoring purpose.
Therefore the indices are derived with almost no data check, and
there often exist spike noises etc.
The indices could be revised when new data are added or when the base line
is corrected. Because we have many requests from
users, the digital QL-AE indices are now available from
this page.
However, please be careful enough when you use the QL-AE indices on the quality.
To check the number of stations used for the derivation,
please look at this page.
If you use the data for publication, please clearly indicate that the indices are
Quick-Look version.
Please do not re-distribute the digital data to avoid any confusion.
